Untitled (High and Outside) is a submission for a zine titled "High and Outside Vol. 2". The title and theme "high and outside" was left completely open to interpretation.

Here, I focus on the strike zone; the area where a pitch must be thrown in order to be considered a strike. The height of the strike zone is determined by the batter, but always occupies the space directly above home plate.

The imposing form of the strike zone weighs heavily on the recognizable home plate, or home. The batter begins at home. They are confronted with the pressure of performing and only through success are they able to return.

I've become obsessed with this frail representation of a building; a home. I attempt to replicate it on scraps, napkins, notebads and other such material. This accumulation suggests an importance and the sense of importance drives the production.

Eventually these "Plans" will become something more.
